Willem Wouters (b. 1984) is a Belgian architect who creates art objects in resin. He approaches the design process of his artworks in the same way as his architectural projects. It took years of experimentation to realize his creative ideas within the technical possibilities of the material. This created a unique self-developed production process. His works reflect the architectural approach of different shapes, textures and colors that constantly release different images through light reflections. Willem Wouters studied architecture at the KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture in Ghent and at the UIC in Barcelona. After his studies, he moved to Paris to work at renowned international architectural firms for 8 years. In 2015, he returned to Belgium to carry out large-scale projects for a well-known Belgian architectural firm. Driven by passion, he has been focusing on creating his own works ever since.
